PART TIME SALON ASSISTANT / APPRENTICE

Assistant required for hair extension salon – preferably with NVQ level 2 hairdressing qualification.

Angel Hair Extensions are looking for a friendly, hard working, enthusiastic, individual to help with the day to day running of the salon in Newport Pagnell, Milton Keynes.

The role will provide a potential opportunity for the right candidate to undertake professional training to become a qualified hair extension technician – for those who possess a minimum level 2 NVQ hairdressing qualification.

The right candidate will receive a competitive salary + bonus. All necessary training will be provided.

Part time flexible working hours – possibly leading to full time employment

Duties will include:

Assisting the owner with hair extension fittings
Administration
Booking clients in and managing the diary
Answering phone calls
Responding to emails / messages
Running social media & posting for the business
Removing hair extensions (training provided)
Ensuring the salon is kept clean and tidy throughout the day
Along with a potential opportunity to fit hair extensions (for an already qualified hairdresser)

Candidates must possess:
– Excellent customer service & communication skills
– A polite and professional telephone manner
– Great attitude with clients
– Punctuality
– Competent with the use of social media
– Initiative and enthusiasm
– Sense of maturity and responsibility

Previous Assistant / salon experience is not essential, but a Level 2 NVQ hairdressing qualification would be a bonus.
